This is an innovative Toronto organization who has a new model to engage people in the community.

Getting involved in your community isn't always easy, so we've made it simple for you to find relevant and meaningful volunteer opportunities that fit your busy lifestyle.

The Timeraiser is part volunteer fair and part silent art auction where, rather than money, you bid a number of hours you are willing to volunteer for an organization of your choice over the next 12 months. Once you finish your pledge you then bring your artwork home as a reminder of your good will.

Throughout the evening meet with representatives from a variety of non-profit agencies that are looking for help and match your skills to their needs. From Amnesty International to Frontier College and Women Against Violence against Women, there are many stimulating ways to get involved in your community. 1st Vancouver Timeraiser

How the night works:
7pm - Doors open
7pm - 9pm - volunteer matching (mix and mingle with agency reps)
9pm - silent art auction begins
10pm - silent art auction closes
10:30pm - art winners and total hours pledged are announced
10:30pm - 12am - Turn up the music and celebrate an evening of community building!
